I used to stick to two or three perfumes all year round. This summer something shifted — I started testing new scents the way I test serums, swatching them on my wrist before committing. The result: ten fragrances that actually survived the heat and made it past my vanity.
Here are the ones I keep coming back to.
Creed Wild Vetiver
If I had to pick a signature scent for 2026, it would be this one. Creed Wild Vetiver has stopped me in conversations — people turn around and ask what I’m wearing. It reads unisex but leans feminine on my skin.
It’s potent, easily the strongest and longest-lasting in my current rotation. Bold vetiver anchored by rose, geranium, pink pepper, blackcurrant, cedarwood, and bergamot. One spritz covers me for the whole day.
Creed Virgin Island Water
A perennial favorite. Virgin Island Water was my first Creed purchase and it’s stayed on the shelf ever since. Coconut, bergamot, tropical fruits, lime, musk, and jasmine — it smells like warm air without trying too hard.
I’ve worn it through every summer in the South and it never feels cloying, even when humidity is high.
Chanel Les Eaux de Chanel Paris-Biarritz
This is the one I repurchase without thinking. I’ve worn Paris-Biarritz non-stop since it launched eight years ago, and Paris-Riviera stays a close second.
Sicilian mandarin with lily of the valley accord — soft citrus that doesn’t shout. If you need something bold, look elsewhere. But if you want elegant and uplifting without being loud, this is the one.
Celine Un Ete Francais
Celine fragrances are underrated, partly because they’re harder to find — you need to go online or visit a boutique. Their discovery sets make sampling easier.
I loved Parade for years and still do, but if you want something less common, Un Ete Francais is the move. Bergamot, neroli, and petitgrain create a summery floral that smells expensive without being heavy.
Memo Paris Cap Camarat
A friend’s recommendation that completely surprised me. I usually avoid vanilla in hot weather — it clings too much when it’s humid. But Cap Camarat does something different with vanilla: sultry and slightly salty, never sweet.
Pink peppercorn, apple, ylang-ylang, jasmine, sandalwood, benzoin, Amyris, patchouli, and labdanum. Individually, none of those are my usual go-tos. Together they’re addictive. The drydown is where the magic happens — I reach for this on date nights.
Memo Paris Menorca
One of Memo Paris’ newer launches, available only at their own stores and selling out quickly. Citrusy bergamot with lemon and salty musk vibes — it hits every note I love without leaning too hard into any one direction.
Pulls similar to Dior’s new Dior Paradise (I bought the travel sizes of both), but Menorca is less aggressively lemony. My pick for everyday summer wear.
Chloe Atelier des Fleurs Plage du Figuier
I tried the Chloe Atelier des Fleurs line for the first time this year and was pleasantly surprised. Very green, earthy — a departure from most Chloe perfumes.
Plage du Figuier is a green fig scent: airy, light, warm but fresh. Sweet without tipping into cloying territory.
Dior La Collection Privée Eden Roc
Dior’s La Collection Privee consistently delivers beautiful fragrances, and the customization options — Couture Caps in two sizes, engraving, cases — make gifting effortless.
Eden Roc smells like a high-end seaside spa. Sea salt, jasmine, coconut, pine, and labdanum. The florals stay subtle so the marine character comes through. If you love salty, oceanic scents, this one is worth seeking out.
Dior La Collection Privée Dioriviera
Straight in my top three. Luscious fig with rose that rounds out any tartness or excess sweetness. It smells like an expensive vacation — warm, green, fruity, sweet, and floral all at once.
Longevity is very good on my skin and it doesn’t turn sour as the day goes on.
Kilian Sunkissed Goddess
A classic summer-in-a-bottle scent. Tiare flower and ylang-ylang in a white floral that feels iconic rather than trendy. If those notes are your thing, this doesn’t get more representative.
A Note from the Studio
I bought several of these because an ad or a bottle design caught my eye first. The ones that earned a permanent spot on my vanity were the ones that survived a full week of daily wear in real heat — not just the first spritz in a climate-controlled store. Tested on my vanity, not on my ego.
